Personal Reflections Page

Just telling my story isn't enough.  To only tell about all of my fortunate success might be misleading.  Not all of my story has been so colorful and without thoughts of quiting or possible failure.  For this to truly be a journey, I must be confronted by the option to take a different path, and feel the need to share my thoughts with you.
These are my thoughts and reflections:

*  For first timers, a new challenge is scary.  I'm no different in that respect.  Everything I'm doing now, is new to me.  I've never climbed mountains or run marathons, and I've never considered participating in a Triathlon.  Even with the successful summits of two very large mountains, I still can't imagine crossing the finish line of a major event.

*  In the face of a new challenge, I always wonder why I'm doing it.

*  For some people confronted by pressure or temptation, mistakes can be unavoidable. These mistakes can persuade those same people to take a turn toward the wrong path. The result of such an unfamiliar turn will usually intensify even the most minor of all dilemmas. For me, knowing this ahead of time, the solution is really quite simple….avoid those pressures by turning toward the opposite direction, preventing any further complications. As it turns out, this change in direction is leading me toward a familiar path, one that I had previously traveled. It is a good path!
